Core Responsibilities
As head of administration the municipality is subject to the policy directions of the municipal council, responsible and accountable for the formation and development of an economical, effective, efficient and accountable administration.
A municipal council in consultation with the municipal manager appoints managers directly accountable to the municipal manager (in the case of Emalahleni they are called directors)
