Tenders are hereby invited from Service Providers for the following projects in Emalahleni Local Municipality area.
A non - refundable payment should be made at the cashiers, ground floor on and proof must be submitted upon collection of document at the first floor at the Supply Chain Management Section. Duly completed tenders enclosed in a sealed envelope with the tender description and tender number with the name of the Bidder shall be deposited in the tender box situated outside the Emalahleni Local Municipality Civic Centre in Mandela Street, Emalahleni before or on the closing date. The bids will therefore be opened in public.
A Preferential point system shall apply whereby a contract will be allocated to a tenderer in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Framework Act, Act No 5 of 2011 and as defined in the Conditions of tender in the tender document, read in conjunction with the Supply Chain Management Policy of Emalahleni Local Municipality where 80 points will be allocated in respect of price and
20 points in respect of B-BBEE Status level of contribution.
No awards will be made to a person:
- Who is in the service of the state,
- If that person is not a natural person, of which any director, manager, principal shareholder or stakeholder is a person in the service of the state
- Who is an advisor or consultant contracted with the municipality or municipal entity
The Emalahleni Local Municipality is not obliged to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves the right to accept any, part of any tender, or more than one tender. Other information can be obtained from Supply Chain Office at 013 690 6502/6484/6497
