Emalahleni Local Municipality collects the information on this form to register you for employment opportunities and skills development programmes. This includes personal information such as your name, ID number, contact details and address, and — where you provide it — disability information (which is special personal information under POPIA).

Purpose: to compile a database of unemployed residents and consider you for employment, internships and skills development programmes.

How it is handled: your information is stored securely and shared only with municipal departments and programme partners for the purpose above. It is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

Retention: your details are kept only for as long as needed for the programme, after which they are securely deleted.

Your rights: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the municipality. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
