Notice is hereby given in terms of Chapter 7 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, Act 108 of 1996, subsection 152 (c) and (e) for stakeholders to serve as Chairpersons of the Local Economic Development Forum.

 

 

One of the key economic development enablers to be undertaken by municipalities includes effective stakeholder mobilisation, engagement, and management through the vibrant and functional LED Forums to improve the social and economic conditions of its citizens. Therefore, Emalahleni Local Municipality invites all stakeholders to forward applications and Curriculum Vitae to serve as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Local Economic Development Forum. The stakeholders shall include but not be limited to Community Based Organisations, Non-Profit Organisations, Chambers of Commerce, Mining companies, Manufacturing companies, Power Stations, Institutions of Higher Learning, and Financial Institutions. Applicants must take note that the positions are not remunerated. 

 

 

Interested applicants must be community members who are in good standing with no criminal record and possess extensive knowledge in the field of Local Economic Development. Proven experience in promoting economic growth and sustainability will serve as an added advantage.
