YOUTH VACANCIES: NATIONAL RURAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NARYSEC) PROGRAMME

RECRUITMENT OF NARYSEC YOUTH

The NARYSEC programme, which was established in September 2010, is one of the contributions of the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) towards alleviating the high levels of unemployment amongst young people in rural areas.
 
Linked to the National Development Plan (Vision 2030) and the Comprehensive Rural Development Programme (CRDP), the strategic outcomes of the NARYSEC programme are:
  1. a) Skilled rural youth ready to take up economic opportunities;
  2. b) Economically active youth in rural areas; and
  3. c) Youth-led enterprises contributing to the economy of the country.
Successful applicants will be required to be away from home for a period of 15 weeks to attend the NARYSEC Induction Programme and the Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP).
 
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be:
  • Between 18 and 35 years of age. (Strictly)
  • In possession of Grade 12 (NB: No post matric qualification)
  • South African Citizens with Identity document
  • Residing in Hlalanikahle and Klarinet under the Emalahleni Local Municipality
  • Unemployed or part of an active business
Preference will be given to youth interested to study towards N: Security Management (Lev 2).  Training will be offered by an accredited training provider and the duration of the training will be determined by the content of the training to be offered.
 
NB: Applications are expected from youth coming from Hlalanikahle and Klarinet under the Emalahleni Local Municipality (Applicants from all racial groups including those with disabilities are encouraged to apply)

Application forms are obtainable from: Emalahleni Local Municipality, Civic Centre, Cnr Mandela and Arras Streets, Emalahleni. Completed application forms are also expected to be submitted at the same address.
 
Certified copies of documents will be required only from the shortlisted candidates.
