Emalahleni Local Municipality wishes to alert residents to continued cold, wet and windy weather conditions currently affecting the area.
These conditions may result in localised disruptions, including possible power outages, particularly where strong winds affect electricity infrastructure.
Residents are urged to exercise caution, particularly when travelling, and to secure loose objects around homes and properties.
Residents are advised to

- Avoid areas where trees, branches or other objects may become hazardous.
- Keep clear of damaged electrical infrastructure and report any faults.
- Motorists should exercise caution, particularly where visibility and road conditions are affected.
- Stay informed through official municipal communication channels.
The Municipality’s Disaster Management and relevant response teams remain on alert and will respond to emergencies as required.
