Reason for the interruption
The Municipality would like to inform residents that the power outage affecting areas supplied by the 22kV Cologne Substation is due to a power failure on the Eskom side. This has affected the majority of Phola. Affected areas include Zone 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, Makause and Siyabonga.
Status update
The power failure was reported accordingly to Eskom, however Eskom has communicated that they have encountered challenges and work will continue tomorrow.

The Municipality appeals for patience and assures residents that every effort is being made to restore electricity as safely and efficiently as possible. Further updates will be communicated as progress is made.
