PUBLIC NOTICE :: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS TO RECEIVE NON FINANCIAL SUPPORT IN A FORM OF TOOLS OF TRADE FOR SMMEs, CO-OPERATIVES, INFORMALTRADERS, NPO/NGOs OPERATING

Emalahleni Local Municipality is calling on Small Meduim and Macro Enterprices (SMMEs), Cooperatives, Non Profit Organiations (NPOs), Non Governmental Organisations(NGOs) and Informal Traders to apply for a non financial grant funding. 

This is an initiative by the Municipality to provide local businesses with support through purchasing the business tools of trade to ensure growth and sustainability of Emalahleni Local Municipality Businesses. 

This initiatve seeks to enhance local economic growth, job creation and tackle other socio ecomomic issues. 

The grant funding ranges between R10 000 and R80 000.

COMPULSARY REQUIREMENTS:

•⁠  ⁠The applicant(s) must be South African Citizen with a valid identity document(s)

•⁠  ⁠The business should be 51 % black-owned

•⁠  ⁠Registered South African company

•⁠  ⁠Informal Traders should be in possession of Emalahleni Local Municipality Traders Permit

•⁠  ⁠Applicants should be up to date with the Municipal Rates and Taxes or have arrangements with the Municipality 

•⁠  ⁠Previously disadvantaged South African Women, People with Disabilities and Men 

•⁠  ⁠Secured tenure of land for operations use. (Lease, Title deed or other)

•⁠  ⁠Does the entity have applicable legislative approval for operations (water use licence, certificate of acceptability, SABS, EIA among others) 

•⁠  ⁠Do Applicants have adequate managerial, financial, and technical capability for the  Entity to be viable

•⁠  ⁠Demonstrate significant means of own contribution to the project

•⁠  ⁠FICA documents (e.g. Municipal accounts, letter from traditional authority)

•⁠  ⁠Certified identity documents of directors/members

•⁠  ⁠3 months bank statements (Excuding Informal Traders)

•⁠  ⁠Informal Traders should have a valid traders permit  (2025/ 26)

•⁠  ⁠The grant is only for equipments and tools.

The Municipality reserves the right to grant or withdraw the funding or support.
