Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i)(c) read together with section 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No. 6 of 2004), herein referred to as the “Act”, that the supplementary valuation roll 01 for the financial year 2026/2027 is open for public inspection at the address listed below, from 13th July till 28th August 2026 at 12h00.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of the Section 49(1)(a)(ii) read with section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of a property or other person who so desires can lodge an objection with the municipal manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from the supplementary valuation roll within the above mentioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the supplementary valuation roll as such. Section 50(6) of the Act further provides that the lodging of an objection does not defer liability for payment of property rates beyond the date determined for payment.

The completed form must be returned to the address listed below on or before the 28th August 2026
Objections received after this period may not be considered. No objections received by fax or e-mail will be accepted.
