Notice is hereby given to inform the community members and affected parties about the temporary closure of Klipfontein Dam to public access. This is due to essential scheduled maintenance and restoration activities aimed at ensuring both safety standards and the long-term sustainability of this facility. The closure will take effect immediately, with a re-opening date to be communicated in due course.
During this period, access to the dam and its surrounding recreational areas will be prohibited to ensure the safety of both the community and workers engaged in the restoration project. The Municipality acknowledges the potential inconvenience that this temporary closure may cause and sincerely values the community’s cooperation and understanding. These extensive maintenance and restoration efforts are designed to enhance both the infrastructure of the dam and its overall functionality, thereby improving service quality.
